Musemo (Mo) Handahu is a multi-faceted creative with an eye for the cool and buzz-worthy. She creates content for brands looking to grow their digital influence and those expanding to the east coast Canadian market.
This isn’t the first time we’ve asked Musemo to keynote and we’re delighted her busy schedule finds her home in Halifax and able to share her creativity with us at the conference this year.
Musemo uses her love for digital arts and fashion to inspire her community, especially by championing the increased visibility of plus-size women and African Nova Scotians in the arts where a lack of representation is unmistakable. She is a TEDx alumnus after delivering a powerful speech titled FAT AND BLACK WITH THE AUDACITY TO BE A BADASS. She touched on her experience as a fat black woman with a very peculiar name that holds a commanding meaning. She uses her name as a guide as she navigates the world hunting the majestic in herself and the world around her.
You can find out lots more about Musemo on her website here. And also connect with her on Instagram, YouTube and Facebook.
